Shell Danglers

I love shells and have been collecting them for years. I do keep a container full so that I can look through them and dream I’m on the beach collecting them. But lots have been make into garden projects. This first shell dangler shows that even broken shells look lovely. I took advantage of a hole in the top of one big shell as a hanger.  A few holes were carefully drilled around the bottom of the shell to add other dangly bits.  The wire was twisted around the shells to hold them in place. Garden Jewelry

Over the cold and stormy winter days when we stayed home I experimented with using some sculpy clay. Rescuing the Nuthatch

Don’t you just hate it when you hear the thud of a bird against the window. You rush outside to see if the bird has flown away or been stunned by the crash. Last week we rescued a little nuthatch. You never know if you should touch the birds, but this one wasn’t moving so hubby picked it up, but you could tell it was alive. It was quite stunned by the experience and was just willing to sit in his hand and enjoy the warmth. It took some coaxing to get it to finally sit on the deck railing.

It’s a Wrap

Crochet projects are perfect for winter, especially when they get bigger and drape over your legs and keep you warm as you work.
