Dishcloths

It is always good to keep a stock of dishcloths on hand, either knitted or crocheted.   They make great little gifts or stocking stuffers added to hand soap, hand cream, or kitchen gadgets. The pattern for these is what I call a ‘no brainer’ pattern.  These were made using up all the odds and ends of cotton yarn I had on hand. Cast on 4 stitches. K2, yo, k to end of row. Repeat this row till you have 40 stitches on the needle. Then start the decrease, k1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, knit to end. Continue till there are

Crochet Covered Coathangers

I have a huge collection of coloured, plastic coat hangers and wanted a way to cover them.  I’ve seen a few different versions of this hanger and have adjusted the pattern I was given to suit myself. A lovely lady at a flea market shared a pattern with me several years ago. I hadn’t seen this pattern in any crochet booklets but I was sure it must be printed somewhere and thanks to website visitors I now know the sources.
