Magic
Reindeer Food
Little
children will love to sprinkle the magic reindeer food on their lawn
on Christmas Eve.
Use
a mixture of any of these: oatmeal, bird seed, rice crispies, plus
some coloured sugar to add some sparkle.
Place
the mixture in plastic bags and and add one of the poems.
It
is hard to find the original creator of these poems as they get
passed around mailing lists, bulletin boards and from friend to
friend and people tend to take off the author's name.
Please
remember to use coloured sugar instead of glitter.
This
makes the mixture more friendly to wildlife.

Make
a wish and close your eyes tight,
Then
sprinkle on your lawn at night.
As
Santa's reindeer fly & roam
This
food will guide them to your home.
For
your gift to the reindeer and Rudolph too
Your
wish may be real, your dreams may come true.

Sprinkle
on the lawn at night
The
moon will make it sparkle bright
As
Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This
will guide them to your home. |

I
filled a smaller pot with some winter greenery and added it to this
reindeer holder. It will sit beside my wooden Christmas
tree at the front of our house. |

On
Christmas Eve spread Magic Reindeer Food on your lawn,
To
bring Santa to your house before dawn...
The
smell of the oats and glitter sparkling bright
Will
guide Rudolph through the night.

On
Christmas Eve before you sleep,
Step
outside and take a peek.
Can
you see them? Are they near?
You
don't think so? Never fear!
While
still outside do this simple deed:
Sprinkle
this packet of special feed.
The
glow of the stardust, the smell of oats
Will
draw to YOUR house those special folks!
They
can't miss you now, there's nothing to fear,
For
this special mix is guaranteed
To
draw Santa and his famous reindeer.
