Make it a Homemade Christmas Christmas Ornaments, wreaths and candycanes
A Wreath You need 25 green tri locking beads, 2 white ones and one red one, a length of white pipe cleaner, and a length of white eyelet lace about 2 cm. in width. Thread the green beads onto the pipe cleaner, after each bead goes on, you need to thread the pipe cleaner through one hole of the lace. Add another bead, and thread the lace again. When pushing the first bead down the pipe cleaner, leave about 3 cm. of the pipe cleaner bare. Continue threading the beads and lace until you have enough to form a 7 cm. diameter circle. Leave another 3 cm. without beads on it. Bring ends together and twist, add the 2 clear beads and one red bead to represent a candle in the centre of the wreath.
A Yarn Wreath Cut a circle ofcardboard about 7 cm. in diameter. Cut a circl out of the center. With green yarn start wrapping round and round the circle until it is all covered. A dab of glue will keep the beginning and ending of the yarn in place. Decorate with beads, sequins, glitter, bows, bells etc. Add a loop to hang or a brooch pin to the back. These can be made in varying sizes.
Candy Cane This is very simple to make using a pipe cleaner and the tri locking beads (sample shown) You need 20 red, 19 white or clear, and 6 green beads, and a piece of white pipe cleaner about 5.5 inches long. Thread the beads onto the pipe cleaner following the picture and bend the top of the pipe cleaner to make the hook. Add a tree hook and hang by lights on the tree for a sparkling ornament.
