pooped out reindeer

Pooped-out Reindeer

This reindeer is made out of 4 pom poms (2 inch diameter), 4 pom poms ( 1.5 inch) and 1 pom pom (1 inch).  All these pom poms are light brown.  A small white pom pom is needed for the tail and a tiny red one for the nose. The tail is not visible in the scanned jpg image as it is hiding under the piece of brown felt.  Strips of brown felt are cut to go around the feet. Antlers are cut from felt and added above small brown felt ears.  Brown googly eyes are added and a little piece of brown felt above them.  Print out and attach the poem. Varying the size of the pom poms will give you different size reindeer.

Christmas Eve was near,
But what have we here?
A worn out, tuckered out,
pooped out reindeer.
Tired by the hustle and
bustle of holiday hurry.
Asleep in a heap as if
he had not a worry!

Rudolph's spare noses

-put red hots,or any round red candy into a small baggie and attach this poem

Rudolph's nose is very bright
He helps guide Santa's sleigh
Without it in the dark night sky
They might not find their way.
So just in case dear Rudy's nose
Is kaput, goes on the blink
We have these spare "red nose seeds"
To repair him in a wink!

Rudolph

Rudolph

Make your own Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  You need a wooden bead about 3.5 cm., half a brown pipe cleaner, 2 googly eyes, a red pom pom and a loop of string or ribbon. Shape the pipe cleaner into the antlers, put some glue in one end of the bead and stick the pipe cleaner and the loop in.  Hold until it dries.  Glue the red pom pom on the other end for Rudolph's nose and add the googly eyes. Instead of the loop you could add a brooch pin to the back of the bead.

I filled a small flower pot with dirt and pushed in some winter greenery and added it to this reindeer holder that my husband found for me one day last year.   It will sit beside my wooden Christmas tree at the front of our house
