Christmas Tree

You need 18 to 20 strips of material in any greens that you have, a twig about 6 inches long, and some pieces of gold or silver pipe cleaner.  Start at the bottom of the twig and tie the strips onto it. It is easier to have the stips about 6 inches long and knot them all first.  Trim with pinking shears into the tree shape and add the star at the top.  Add a loop to hang as an ornament, or poke into a plant for a plant poke. You could use a cinnamon stick for the trunk.

Fabric Tree

To make this tree you need some Christmas fabric of your choice.  You cut one 3 inch, one 2.5 inch and one 2 inch square from the fabric.  Cut a tirangle piece of quilt batting slightly smaller than each square. Fold and sew each  square of material so that it is a triangle shape.  Overlap and glue as in the jpg.  Add coloured bead ribbon along each edge and a star at the top.  Make a loop out of gold ribbon and it is ready to hang on your tree.

Tree magnet

Using 7 count plastic canvas cut a piece 17 holes by 26 holes and then cut out the pattern below.  Stitch the base in brown, and the star in gold, and the remainder of the tree in green.  The sequins are stitched on with fishing line.  Add a magnet to the back and decorate your fridge for Christmas.
