Towel holder ring

Crochet a simple towel holder ring.

Towel Ring Pattern

 7.5 mm or 3" ring (packets of 6 from craft stores)
4.5 mm crochet hook
yarn, colour of your choice
button, tapestery needle

 

Row 1   Crochet 55 sc around ring, sl st to first sc (or as many sc as needed to cover ring)

The sc are made around the ring.  Put the hook through the center of the ring and pull the yarn up at the back.  Pull the yarn through the loop or loops on the hook.

You will end up with the ring being covered by the yarn.

 

 

 

 
Row 2   ch1, sc in next 9 sc
this can be a bit tight to do at first, but be patient and it will go through

Row 3   ch 3 (first dc), turn, dc in next 9 sc - for 10 dc
Row 4   sc in the 10 dc
Row 5   dc in the 10 sc
Row 6   sc in the 10 dc
Row 7   dc in the 10 sc
Row 8   sc in the 10 dc
Row 9   dc in the 10 sc
Row 10   sc in the 10 dc
Row 11   dc in the 10 sc
Row 12   ch 1 sc in first dc skip next dc,  repeat to end of row, 6 sc
Row 13   ch 3 (first dc), dc in next sc, ch 2 (will make buttonhole), dc, dc, (can adjust size depending on button)
Row 14   sc 6 times
Row 15   sc, skip next sc, repeat to end - for 2 sc
Row 16   finish off
Stitch on button.

I am not a professional pattern writer, and usually figure out simple patterns from looking at another finished item.    The above pattern is just a basic idea of how I made the towel ring holder.   I hope that you can follow the pattern to complete the item.
