Brighten your day with a rainbow.

This rainbow is made from a 3 inch circle of plastic canvas. Cut the circle in half, cut off the outside row and the 2 inside rows.  Use plastic lacing to thread through each row. I have also seen it made with very thin ribbon, or thicker yarn. If you use yarn you can tie beads at the end of each piece to stop it from unravelling. You can give this award to a happy camper that brightens up your day. -a Guiding idea Take a larger circle of plastic canvas, cut in half, and then so that there are 5 rows on the outside.  Thread as above with plastic lacing or ribbon and use to hang in your window.    This is a picture of a rainbow that we viewed from our back deck one day in June.  There was actually a faint double rainbow but it doesn't show up well in the picture.     craftygardener.ca Please sign or view the guestbook.
