Flitting In and Out

The birds and critters flit in and out of the garden and sometimes it is a challenge to get a good photo of them.  Persistence pays off, and eventually there is a good photo or two of the lens friends.

The hummingbird is adorable as it sits on a bit of branch and surveys they garden.

The red bellied woodpecker was really enjoying the peanut feeder until…

a black bird came along and then he had a few choice words to say.

Mischievous Little Red is all over the place.  He still thinks the garden belongs to him and continues to chase away other squirrels and birds.

Recently he has taken to sitting on top of the birdhouse and surveying the garden, ready to pounce and chase away any who dare to enter.

There have been lots of other gorgeous lens friends at the feeders … goldfinches, cardinals, orioles, sparrows, finches, and grosbeaks.

Nature never fails to amaze me.
