The "living" picture
The first picture shows an old picture frame used to make a "living picture". Make the easel from 3 branches tied together at the top. Each branch is about 6 feet tall. Separate the branches to the width you want the easel to be. Get 3 more branches and tie them on cross wise, to keep the easel from moving. I used wire to tie these cross pieces to the easel. The frame sits on the front one (you can fasten it on if you wish) Rest a long garden planter across the two pieces that go to the back support of the easel. For added height I added an ivy plant in a pot. The ivy will eventually twine around the frame. Add other accents, like a grape vine wreath or mini bird houses - these can be poked into the dirt for support. You could add decorations to the top of the frame also. The second picture shows an old window frame that was used. I got the frame at a recycling store that sells old building materials.
