The "Living" Wreath
Here is a living wreath made with hens and chicks, moss and a wire frame. The frame can be purchased at a floral store. Fill with moss and a small amount of dirt. Push hens and chicks into the dirt/moss. I used fishing line to overlap the plants and the wire frame to hold in place till they rooted. Keep it flat for a couple of weeks till sure the plants have taken root. Now it hangs on the front fence. This was taken at the beginning of the season, but the plants are starting to fill out. Over the winter I just lay it in the garden so that it benefits from the snow cover.
