Grape Vine Obelisk
Turn 4 bamboo poles and some grape vine into a grape vine wreath obelisk. To start with I placed the bamboo canes into a container of dirt just to hold them steady. Starting at the bottom I began to wrap the grape vine around the canes. Be sure to wrap the vine around each cane as you work as this will help stop the wreath from slipping down. Continue working till the wreath is the thickness you want. I prefer to work with fresh cut grape vine as it bends and twists much easier.
Then leave a space and start another wreath a bit further up the canes. The height of the canes will determine how many wreaths you will make. The higher you go the smaller the wreaths will be. I used thinner vines for the top of the project. It can easily be moved when finished as the wreaths hold the canes in place. Let your imagination guide you. Use a different number of canes. Use a different shape.
