Old garden tools!
|
Every gardener
has some and if you are like me you just hate to part with them.
For a long time they just took up space in the garage.
But during some recent renovations 2 parts of the trellis had to be removed and down came the tools. They sat for a few weeks in a sad pile on a corner of the deck while I decided what to do with them.
They have all been relocated to a new home on the fence in front of the composters. The old tools look very re'find' now. Even the old handles from shovels and garden forks are put to good use. Here one old handle makes a great flag pole at the edge of the composter garden. This photo was taken a few years ago and you can see a different flag in the photo above.
Another old handle became the handle for my book rack.
A rusty old rake head has become the hanging spot for some old hand shovels.
An old hand well pump sits at the front of the garden, forever watering a bucket full of hens & chicks. |

Another addition to the retired tools is an old garden nozzle.

I took apart the
old nozzle and poked beading wire through the holes. |

Look at some recycled containers that I plant in.
Turn an old wheelbarrow into a planter.
Change an old hose pipe into a hosepipe wreath.
