The Button Wreath

~ The button tin/jar holds an assortment of buttons in all sizes and colours. You can spend a long time reminiscing as you let the buttons fall through your fingers.  But sometimes there just isn’t enough of the colour you want to make a craft, so it was off to the dollar store where they sell bags of buttons in various colours. A layer of batting was added to the cardboard circle and then the whole thing was wrapped in white ribbon.  Around the outside a strip of lace was glued on. Create some Cute Little Trees

It’s the season to think about decorating.  Here are some cute little trees that are quick and easy to create.  These crafts a good for making with the kids and grandkids. Some of them have links to previous posts with a bit more detailed instructions.  They are all plain and simple. The first is a nice simple stitching project using green yarn, plastic canvas and sequins.  Using 7 count plastic canvas cut a piece 17 holes by 26 holes and then cut out the pattern below.  Stitch the base in brown or all green as I did, and stitch the star

Button Trees

I’ve come across this cute craft a a few different craft shows this year.  I did a search on the internet and found all sorts of places have this idea posted but I couldn’t seem to find out where it originated from.  I even found them for sale on etsy.  I think the idea might of originally come from the Martha Stewart website with a slightly different idea.  It’s never too early to start Christmas crafting.
