One of the shore birds we saw while walking the beaches in September in British Columbia was the sandpiper.  At first I thought these are the least sandpipers as they were fairly small, but they could be sanderlings which also look very similar.  There are about 20 species and identification can be a challenge. When is a balcony a deck? or vice versa?   While in British Columbia I did a lot of photo taking from the second level balcony.  But it had stairs that went to the backyard, so does that make it a raised deck?  Whatever it was, it provided great views around the back of the house and I got into the habit of going out at certain time of the day to spot some wildlife. Did you ever enter a store and know right away you will really enjoy it?   The sights and smells as we entered Murchie’s was amazing.   This is a tea/coffee store in Victoria, British Columbia.   If only my suitcases weren’t already brimming over I would of bought lots of things.
