A white admiral butterfly decided to take a long drink from the oriole feeder. I was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time with the camera.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Thank goodness for rapid fire buttons, automatic focus and a great zoom lens on my camera.
You can see the proboscis extending right into the nectar in the feeder.
The markings on the top were lovely … blues with red dots, blue and white stripes, and white sections that stand out against the black wings.
It remained on the feeder for a few minutes.
With the wings folded up you can see the red dots better, but the blue can’t be seen.
… from another angle …
… and another …
Have a look at some more of my lens friends photos.
