We rarely get any mail these days … electronic bills, social media, texting and FaceTime seem to take the place of letters.
So when I know something is coming in the mail I eagerly watch the mailbox each day till it arrives. You never know how long things take these days.
I was waiting for a package to arrive from British Columbia, something I had won from Nicola’s blog. I’ve been a follower of Nicola Knits for a long time. She is a blog friend that lives in Kelowna BC and loves to knit and crochet just like me. She recently had a give away on her site and I was the lucky winner.
As well as the headwrap there were some added extras … labels and a memory stick cover.
The headwrap is knit in the softest yarn, Willow Wash .. a new to me yarn. And best of all it is in my favourites shades of greens and browns.
It fits perfectly and will keep me nice and warm on those cold winter days. I know that Nicola got the pattern from this site and I plan to make some more. I think with a few adjustments I can make it in a little girl size for my granddaughter.
Thanks Nicola. Be sure to visit her site and see some of her wonderful projects. She just finished a Groovy-scrap-ghan that is bright and colourful.
