The Daycations Begin

posted in: Daycation, Out and About | 0

With the nice weather we like to get out and about and explore our area where we live by taking daycations. We thought we would take advantage of a lovely Tuesday this week and take our first daycation this  spring as the rest of the week is sleety and rainy.  I love free publications and we get Country Roads and Watershed for finding interesting places to visit.

We chose to visit Jillian’s Antiques and Things on Cordova Road in Marmora and Lake which is about a 30 minute drive from our house.

Wow what a lot of things to look at in the store, the silo and the barn.

Oh my gosh, there are so many things to look at, you couldn’t possibly take it all in at once.

The areas were filled with all sorts of interesting items.

candles, bowls, lights, old enamel ware, jugs, and so much more

There were great birdhouses created by a person who donates the money to cat charities.  We had to have one made from all bits of wood that the beavers had chewed.  I’ll show you where we put it soon.  If you visit their Facebook page it is the top left one our of the four shown.

We had a great afternoon out and we’ll be back for another visit.

Do you like to take daycations? They a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle and routine of everyday life.

It’s time to share where we live with Our World Tuesday and Signs, Signs.
