Plant Profile: Golden Goblin

I’ve had blanket flower or gaillardia in my garden in previous years but this year I added the Golden Goblin, a lovely yellow blanket flower.

Despite the very hot, humid and dry season they have done very well.

I love the greens as the buds start to form.  Perfect for sharing with Green Day.

Mine were all yellow and didn’t have the reddish center as shown on the plant tag.  Which was just fine by me as I love yellow flowers.

Even as the blooms finish they are still beautiful.  This plant has been blooming for a few weeks now and there are still new buds forming.

There are still quite a few blooms in the garden for mid September … cosmos, canna, calendula, coreopsis, hosta, morning glory, gerbera daisy, datura,  4 o’clocks, sedum,

I’m sharing with
