One of our favourite places to daycation at is the Wellington Beach.

Wellington is a small town off the Loyalist Parkway in Prince Edward County, and if you turn down Beach Street … you will land at this lovely little spot.  This photo was taken on a summer day in 2012.

You can walk out to the lighthouse and enjoy the breeze on a hot summer day.

Or you can sit on one of the many benches and just enjoy the view.  The weather today has been gorgeous.  I’ve been really busy over the past few days … packing boxes and moving books to have new carpet installed.  The carpet went down on Wednesday and today I’ve been unpacking boxes and moving books to get the house back to normal.   Just looking at these wonderful blue skies, blue water and quiet beaches is giving me a moment of relaxation and even some inspiration to get back to sorting, unpacking and re-arranging.   I’m also doing some purging at the same time … some things won’t make it back into the china cupboard, closets or book shelves.

We live in an amazing part of Ontario and each summer the tourists flock here for the scenery, the wineries, the beaches, the antique shops, the artist galleries and more and I love to share some of these places on Our World Tuesday.

Out and About shares more places to visit.
