I’m not off my “rock”er … well not yet anyway!
My rock painting continues with bees, ladybugs, houses, ewes, and minions, plus more. Even though I haven’t been out hiding as frequently I’m still getting out to a few places.
It was fun to paint different bee rocks.
Our weather has been really hot, with thunder storms tossed in. So I thought a few rocks with positive message would be nice. I do love to add googly eyes to some of my rocks.
I had lots of fun painting some minion rocks. Like most of my projects it starts with a sketch, then the background painting, some pencil drawing, and then adding details.
All rocks get a coating of mod podge and then get sprayed with a fixative. On the back is printed the name of the rock group and my own name.
Here is my book of ideas for rock painting. It’s the place where I sketch my ideas and ideas that I see. I can look back for inspiration, add notes, add colour schemes, and a lot more. It is a WIP.
The ewe-nique rock matches the crafty side of me with my love of yarn projects. If only sheep came in all different colours of yarn!
My collection of rock houses has increased. The top three were for a gift and the bottom three were added to Rockville.
Are you a rock painter? If you aren’t you should give it a try and leave them around your home town. They will brighten up people’s faces when they find them. And in these trying times we all need a reason to smile.
Be sure to have a look at my rock projects and see all the other types of rocks I’ve painted.
