Pretty in Pink

It’s all pinkalicious.  A new granddaughter arrived on February 28, 2013.

I’ve been having lots of fun creating little pink items.  Her little feet and toes will be very pretty in pink with these little booties.  The pattern for these little Baby Uggs can be found here.   I used 3.25 mm needles and some pink Bernat Baby Softee yarn.  They are knitted all in one piece and worked up quickly.

Different lighting in different rooms made the boots look different colours.  The rubber ducky is just under 11 cm. tall so that gives an idea how big the booties are.     The children’s china mug is about 8 cm. high.   It is a treasure in the cupboard from when our girls were young (they are 35 and 37 now).

And then those cute little pink booties just had to have a cute little pink hat to go with them.   Using a Bernat pattern called ruffle hat (you have to be a member to view the pattern) and some Baby Softee yarn I quickly crocheted up a little hat.  The flower is a little added bit that I decided to attach.

The hat, booties, sweater and blanket have been packaged up and are in the mail headed out to the newest granddaughter who lives in Sooke, British Columbia.
