My decorating ideas are about snow this week. Snowfolk and snowflakes. The links will take you back to the original posts.
The snowman hat makes a cute table centrepiece or display item. It is easily make from a large can, some cardboard, some spray paint and ribbon to decorate.

This year I made a mini snowman hat using a recycled k-cup. It turned out to be a cute ornament for the tree as it is about 5 cm high.

Pep and Salty were made from dollar store salt and pepper shakers. They were so much fun to make I then added Sprinkle and Shaker

The yarn and button man was made from some odd balls of white yarn, a wooden spool, some buttons and a dpn knitting needle. He would go nicely with the yarn ornaments I made.

Snowflakes made from plastic canvas are quick and easy and look nice on the tree or on their own display. You can find the pattern on my site.

Over the years I’ve made a lot of crochet snowflakes to hang in the windows, or decorate the mantle. At first I followed a pattern but after awhile I just made it up as I went along. Snowflakes are all different and mine certainly are. These can decorate the windows into January.

I put the snowfolk and snowflake decorations out for Christmas but they do stay up during January for part of the winter theme.

Making snowflakes:
- crochet snowflakes
