Star Light Star Bright

Some special little visitors, along with their Mom & Dad,  are coming to visit us from British Columbia and will want some cute things to use in the bath.  This was the perfect opportunity for me to get out the knitting needles and yarn and knit some wash cloths.

Little Miss will be almost 5 months old and Mr T will be 22 months old.  We met Mr T when he was about 6 weeks old on a trip out west  but since then Little Miss has come along and now the whole family is travelling back to Ontario to meet family and friends.

These star shaped cloths were very quick and easy to make.  They could be used as dishcloths or washcloths.

I used some Bernat Cottontots that I had left over from other projects.  The pattern is knitted in seven sections, each joining onto the previous.  At the end there is a short seam to stitch together to form the star shaped cloth.

I found the pattern here at Sew Funky.  I call it the 12’s pattern because you are always knitting 12 stitches either back or forth.  It knits up very quickly and after the first couple of sections I didn’t even need to look at the pattern.

We are looking forward to some splashing good times.
