I recently started my stitch doodles book as a way to practice and learn new embroidery stitches while using up all the odds and ends of embroidery threads from other projects.
Pages have changed since the first post sharing this book. The cover has some doodling stitches and a title added.
The first page has some pieces that were previously stitched on a table cloth that never got finished. I haven’t quite finished yet and will add some stitch doodles between the blocks.
The second page has some stitches on it that I’ve been practising.
This is a view of the first and second pages.
A visitor to my site recommended Pintangle, and amazing site that explains different stitches and has a TAST – Take a Stitch Tuesday. This is when a stitch is explained, you practice it and share it (on your website, Instagram, Facebook). This is the sheaf stitch that I have been revisiting which was the TAST stitch to practice when I joined.
Other stitches I added.
It has been fun to revisit these various stitches and incorporate them into my stitch doodles book.
Edit: Thanks to all the visitors from the blog And Then We All Had Tea. I appreciate you stopping by. Have a good day.
